According to several reports, there are 239 Super Target stores in selected states, making up just under 13% of total Target stores across the country.

Super Target stores sometimes offer specials and other amenities that are not in the regular Target store.

Super Target stores have larger sizes than regular Targets and carry a wider variety of products.

Super Target stores might also have delis offering a larger selection of meat for sale.

Annapolis, Maryland has the largest Target location in the United States. It measures 204,000 feet in size and almost doubles the regular Target size.

A small format store at Wicker Plaza in Chicago makes up the opposite end of the Target range.

This Target store, measuring approximately 12,800 sq. feet, is only 16 times larger than its largest competitor.

Does Super Target Still Exist?

While there are still Target stores displaying the Super Target logo and branding, Target has rebranded its stores so they are all “Target” instead of being distinguished in any way.

Target stated in a 2015 statement that its Super Target branding would be removed from all of their stores.

Target has discontinued building Super Target stores and is instead expanding with their regular branding.
